Panama is Panama

These days they’re saying Panama is the “New Florida”. I say “these days” as if they just started calling it that yesterday. Actually Business Week published their article about the joys of investing in Panama in July 2009, touting Panama’s low cost of living, affordable quality healthcare and its close proximity to the United States as the primary plusses for investing or retiring there.

Well, since there’s no replacing The Bahamas, then I guess we will all have to agree on calling it that. However, from what I know of Panama, why can’t Panama just be called Panama? It has just as much natural beauty as Florida or The Bahamas and the people I know from Panama are awfully nice. Nice people equal nice city, state or country (usually). Whatever! It’s my math and I’m sticking to it!!!

Panama is a Republic in Central America and is bordered in the north by Costa Rica and the south by Colombia. The official language is Spanish, but English is widely spoken.
