Journal Of Taxation Of Investments
Journalists who are eager to get a job and start their career in this ever-changing, multi-faceted industry might expect for the jobs to be lined up and waiting. This is not always the case. With a lot of competition and a larger percentage of civilian journalists, it can often be difficult to find a dream job in journalism. It’s important that journalism hopefuls understand strategies and methods that will help them find a job.
Network with Other Journalists
One of the best things a journalism student can do is network with other students, and make friends in the industry. This can be done as the journalist is completing his or her internship, studying, and mingling with other journalists. The more people a journalist knows, the more likely they are to hear about available jobs, and then to get the jobs that they apply for. When a name in a stack of resumes is recognized, it stands out from the rest, giving that person a better shot at getting the position. Networking is key to being successful and finding journalism employment.
